Rhod GilbertExtended UK Tour due to overwhelming public demand

'Rhod Gilbert & the Cat That Looked Like Nicholas Lyndhurst'

"Without doubt one of the best comedians anywhere in the world right now" - Time Out

Following the sell out success of last year's UK tour and sensational performances on 'The Royal Variety Performance', 'Live At The Apollo' and 'Michael Mcintyre's Comedy Roadshow', the Welsh Wonder is back by popular demand, performing his critically acclaimed hit show; 'Rhod Gilbert & The Cat that looked like Nicholas Lyndhurst'.

"COMEDY MANNA FROM HEAVEN" - Independent

Due to overwhelming public demand, the Autumn leg of the tour kicks off with an 8 night run in Edinburgh at the International Conference, and continues until the end of November, taking in over 50 venues nationwide.

"POWERHOUSE" - Metro

In his last show, Rhod punched a shop-assistant over the duvet tog-rating system and went berserk over a mince pie. Stung by accusations that he over-reacts, Rhod sets out on an emotional rollercoaster of a journey to discover the truth. Is he, as he believes, a visionary in a sea of closed minds, or has he, as everyone else believes, got anger-management problems?

"VIRTUOSO PERFORMANCE…PASSIONATE AND SPARKLINGLY FUNNY" - Chortle

On TV screens, Rhod recently hosted 'Never Mind The Buzzcocks' (BBC2), and 'Live At The Apollo' (BBC1), and has also made multiple appearances on '8 Out Of 10 Cats' and 'Mock The Week' (BBC 2). He has just finished a new series entitled 'Rhod Gilbert's Work Experience' (BBC2), which sees him trying his hand at 'everyday jobs', ranging from a bin man to a hairdresser, to mum-for a day and a soldier in an overnight exercise in the Brecon Beacons. His recent sitcom for Radio Two entitled 'Rhod Gilbert's Leaving Llanbobl' broadcast in 2008 and Rhod is now busy developing the show into a TV sitcom with Babycow. He continues to present his own weekly live show on BBC Radio Wales every Saturday' from 11am-1pm and has also appeared on 'Loose Ends', 'Just A Minute' and '4 At The Fringe' (BBC Radio 4).

"EXHILARATING STAND UP…SUBLIME STORYTELLING" - Scotsman

Rhod's rant about lost luggage is one of the hottest stand-up clips on YouTube - attracting almost 9 million viewers. According to leading comedy website Chortle, Rhod appears at number six on its top ten comedy clips list and is the only British comedian featured. His stand-up DVD, 'Rhod Gilbert & The Award Winning Mince Pie' was released in November and was the highest selling debut DVD release of the year, and the third best-selling stand-up title of the year, behind Michael Mcintyre and Lee Evans.

"TURBO-CHARGED…MAGNIFICENT" - Evening Standard

Rhod has been a total sell-out at the Edinburgh festival consecutively over the past five years and is one of the hottest names in stand-up today. Catch him while you can.
